The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers is a leading Government approved and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited membership scheme operator.
NAPIT certificated Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) scheme members have demonstrated their competence, through annual assessments and presenting all the relevant qualifications. They hold the necessary insurances and have the right processes and procedures to assure compliance.

All electricians listed and permitted to display the Registered Competent Person Electrical mark are registered with an electrical Competent Person Scheme Operator, and have been authorised by Government to self-certify that their work is compliant with Building Regulations. This means they meet strict entry requirements, their work is regularly assessed, demonstrating their ability and ongoing competence, and that it meets the correct standards.

The Installation Electrician ECS gold card is for Level 3 competency based (NVQ) skilled individuals who work unsupervised on the installation, commissioning and maintenance of low voltage electrical and electronic equipment and appliances in a consumer's electrical installation.
The gold card shows that the cardholder has completed a formal industry regulated competency based qualification, which includes technical theory with practical and competency assessments.
